Revealed: The three most popular entries in the “Best Pizza” and “Best South Asian” categories of the 2018 JLT Restaurant Awards
Online voting for the
2018 JLT Restaurant Awards closed on 31st October 2018 and over 9,000 JLT
residents, office dwellers, and visitors voted for their favourite Jumeirah
Lakes Towers restaurants, cafes, and bars.
In the run-up to the awards
ceremony on the 26th November at
Nara Pan-Asian Restaurant, we’ll reveal the finalists, category by category.
Today, we’ll reveal the “Best Pizza” and “Best South Asian” categories.
We were very much looking forward to seeing the results for the “Best Pizza” category this year. Unlike last year, we only had one pizza category in the 2018 awards and also, Jamie Oliver’s Pizzeria opened earlier in the year and entered this year’s awards and we fully expected the “big brand” to make an impact. Congratulations to Jamie Oliver's Pizzeria, Pitfire Pizza Dubai , and La Cantina – they all made the shortlist in the “Best Pizza” category!

The “Best South Asian” category covered restaurants specialising in food from Afghanistan, Bangladesh, Nepal, Pakistan, and Sri Lanka. Congratulations to Unforgettable Biryani, Little Lahore, and Mughaliya Darbar – they all made the shortlist in the “Best South Asian” category!
