The JLT RestaurantAwards - #JLTdiningAwards

With over 300 independent restaurants, cafes, and bars spread across the various clusters, Jumeirah Lakes Towers is fast becoming Dubai’s go-to foodie neighbourhood.

JLT Dining created the JLT Restaurant Awards in 2017 to showcase the variety and quality of the eateries in this Dubai neighbourhood – nowhere else can you find this many different restaurants in one area. The JLT Dining Awards aim to recognise the passion, sweat, and efforts put in by the many independent restaurants in JLT and let them get the recognition they deserve. We’re also always curious to see which restaurants are most popular among JLTians – residents, office workers, and visitors in JLT, the DMCC regulated free zone in the heart of new Dubai. You’ll find an interview with Martin Kubler, the founder of JLT Dining and the JLT Restaurant Awards here, in which Martin explains the thoughts that went into creating the JLT Dining Awards and his ideas for the competition’s future.

The inaugural JLT Restaurant Awards took place in October and November 2017 and saw over 70 restaurants compete in 16 publicly voted and 3 judges-awarded categories. In 2018, the second edition of the JLT Dining Awards was even bigger and better. We had more restaurants taking part and recorded over 1,000 more online votes than in 2017.

The 2019 JLT Dining Awards yet again set new records in terms of votes received and restaurants participating and also saw the introduction of new categories, reflecting the changing restaurant landscape in JLT.
