JLT Restaurant Awards 2019: Meet our Sponsors
An event like our annual JLT Dining Awards wouldn’t be possible without great sponsors. Today, meet MonViso Water
We’re not just
another restaurant listing and awards scheme – everything JLT Dining does is geared
towards “real” and being part of the local community, which is why we are very
careful when it comes to selecting sponsors for our events.
We first came across MonViso Water via our friend, the FooDiva, and one of her “Dine-Around” events. We’re foodies and for us, water isn’t just water. We hadn’t tasted MonViso Water before, but when we did, we really enjoyed it – so much so it’s now our favourite water when we’re dining out.
We then found out that MonViso has partnered with Al Jalila Foundation, which supports ground-breaking research that addresses health challenges prevalent in the region and which we had also partnered with during Ramadan 2019. Even better, MonViso makes supporting Al Jalila Foundation a pillar of its business.
Through their “Take Water. Give Life “ initiative, for every litre you buy, MonViso donates AED 1 to the Al Jalila Foundation. They also only use BPA-free bottles , offer a recycling program for their plastic bottles that turns the collected plastic into eco-friendly t-shirts, and, very important in our opinion, can supply their products in plastic or glass bottles.
MonViso Water comes from the Monviso Mountain in the Italian Alps and is a very light mineral water with low mineral content and the lowest sodium in the world of only 0,33 mg/litre. MonViso is approved for the preparation of formula and baby foods and, as we could witness live when MonViso sponsored the 2019 UAE Aeropress Championship at the DMCC Coffee Centre, which we were also part of, is great for making coffee or tea!
Coincidentally (and we only found this out after MonViso joined us as the Official Water Sponsor for the 2019 JLT Dining Awards), MonViso is also the water supplier of our Official Hospitality Partner and awards ceremony host, the Pullman Jumeirah Lakes Towers.
