JLT Restaurant Awards 2019: Meet the finalists! (Part 3)
Revealed: The finalists for the Best Burger, Best European (Unlicensed), Best Middle Eastern, Best Pizza, and Best Service categories in the #JLTdiningAwards2019
Online voting for the 2019 JLT Restaurant Awards closed on 31st October 2019 and over 15,000 JLT residents, office dwellers, and visitors voted for their favourite Jumeirah Lakes Towers restaurants, cafes, and bars.
In the run-up to the awards ceremony on Monday, 25th November at La Vue, Pullman Hotel JLT, we’ll reveal the finalists, category by category. Today, we’ll reveal the “Best Burger”, “Best European (Unlicensed)”, “Best Middle Eastern”, “Best Pizza”, and “Best Service” categories.
“Best Burger” was a new category for this year’s awards and attracted seven entries and 917 valid votes.
Congratulations to [ubk] – Urban Bar & Kitchen, Pickl., and McGettigan’s JLT – they all made the shortlist in the #BestBurger category!

Our “Best European (Unlicensed)” category was open to restaurants in JLT specialising in European food, but without an alcohol license. This year, the category featured six entries, which attracted 275 valid votes. Congratulations to Somun by Rolling Pin, Greek & Delicious, and Jamie Oliver’s Pizzeria – they all made the shortlist in the #BestEuropeanUnlicensed category!

The “Best Middle Eastern” category always attracts a good number of entries and this year saw six restaurants battling out and, together, receiving 430 votes. Congratulations to Bait Maryam, Snunu Restaurant, and Truck Adda – they all made the shortlist in the #BestMiddleEastern category!

“Best Pizza” is always a popular category, because let’s face it, who doesn’t like pizza? This year, it was one of our smaller categories, though, with four restaurants in it and a total of 156 valid votes. Congratulations to Cibo Italiano, Jamie Oliver’s Pizzeria, and Casa da Venice, who all made the shortlist in the #BestPizza category!

The “Best Service” category is traditionally our largest category and, in 2019, had 29 entries attracting a total of 1,814 votes. Congratulations to The Cavendish Restaurant, Ananda Bhavan Restaurant, and Café Confetti for making the #BestService shortlist!
