In 1967 Amarjit Singh Tibb found himself in Beirut, Lebanon, where he tasted a Lebanese delicacy prepared from pita bread and a whopping variety of fillings. Captivated by what his taste buds had experienced, he returned to India and, helped by his wife, spent the next year experimenting to create a perfect blend of curried meats and vegetables to develop an Indian version of the dish.

This led to the discovery of a phenomenon called “Frankie” with its USP, the Frankie Masala. It was introduced to family and friends, who loved it and so Tibbs Frankie was born. The first outlet opened in Mumbai in 1969 and, after conquering the Indian market, Tibbs Frankie arrived in Dubai.

In short: A Frankie is basically your favourite curry wrapped in a Paratha-style bread, which makes for a tasty and affordable lunch, dinner, or snack.
