27th March 2018: The JLT Battle of the Chefs – Pizza Edition

Pizza! Everyone loves pizza, right? If you’re a JLT resident, visitor, or office dweller, you’ve got a lot of options when it comes to grabbing a pizza pie in and around the Almas Tower, but which restaurant sells the ultimate pizza? Enter the first-ever JLT Battle of the Chefs!

On Tuesday, 27th March 2018, we brought together JLT’s pizza makers and shakers and let them battle it out! Who won? Find out on our blog!

For the first #JLTBattleOfTheChefs, all participating restaurants delivered two of their finest pizza pies (a Pizza Margherita and a Peperoni Pizza) to the battle location at Own Café, where the pies where then taken out of their branded boxes and plated uniformly, before being presented to the judges for the blind tasting. The jurors scored each pizza based on taste, looks, consistency, and quality of the toppings.
