JLT Restaurant Awards 2018: Meet the finalists for the “Best European (Unlicensed)” and “Best Indian” categories

Revealed: The three most popular entries in the “Best European (Unlicensed)” and “Best Indian” categories of the 2018 JLT Restaurant Awards

Online voting for the 2018 JLT Restaurant Awards closed on 31st October 2018 and over 9,000 JLT residents, office dwellers, and visitors voted for their favourite Jumeirah Lakes Towers restaurants, cafes, and bars.

In the run-up to the awards ceremony on the 26th November at Nara Pan-Asian Restaurant, we’ll reveal the finalists, category by category. Today, we’ll reveal the “Best European (Unlicensed)” and “Best Indian” categories.

Just like last year, we split the European restaurants into two, so restaurants that offer alcohol do not unfairly compete with those that don’t. The “Best European (Unlicensed)” category featured five restaurants – previous winners, like Labbys The Hellenenic House, and new contenders, like Jamie Oliver’s Pizzeria. Congratulations to Labbys The Hellenenic House, Jamie Oliver’s Pizzeria, and Favourite Choice – they all made the shortlist in the “European (Unlicensed)” category!

The “Best Indian” category is traditionally one of the award’s largest and most active categories and 2018 was no exception. We had 13 entries and over 1,400 votes! Congratulations to 800 Thali, Sagar Ratna Restaurant, and Ananda Bhavan – they all made the shortlist in the “Best Indian” category!
