March 2019: The Good Food Fight

We were very happy to partner with Frying Pan Food Adventures and TerraLoop to bring “The Good Food Fight” – a Frying Pan Food Adventures “Sufra” food tour to our neighbourhood on 23rd March 2019.

A group of intrepid foodies joined us on a culinary walking tour through JLT to investigate the effects and impact of food waste on the environment – a topic that’s close to our hearts and the chefs behind some of Dubai’s newer dining concepts. 

During the tour, we savoured waste-free dishes from across the globe and learned how cultures and communities have battled this issue through the ages.

• We sampled delectable ‘kitchen scrap’ dishes from three cultures
• We discovered three of our favourite eateries in JLT
• We explored ways to turn kitchen and pantry scraps into tasty meals
• We found out more about zero-waste dining ideas and what it takes to be a more responsible gourmand

This tour was designed by Frying Pan Food Adventures in collaboration with TerraLoop Food Loss & Waste Consultants and JLT Dining.
