Revealed: The shortlist for the 2018 JLT Hidden Gem!
The 2018 JLT Dining Restaurant Awards featured a new category, the JLT Hidden Gem and during August and September, we asked JLT residents, office dwellers, visitors, and Dubai foodies to nominate their favourite JLT hidden gems online. We wanted to see what the neighbourhood’s and the city’s foodie community thought were the most underrated, yet outstanding, restaurants in JLT, with the top mentioned restaurants going into the online voting in “JLT Hidden Gem” category of the 2018 JLT Dining Awards in October 2018.
We received over 700 nominations!
The initiative was so popular that we decided to include six instead of (as originally envisaged) five restaurants in the shortlist. All six shortlisted restaurants have been included in the "JLT Hidden Gem" category in the 2018 online voting form and you can vote for your favourite here.

Everybody who nominated a hidden gem was entered into a prize draw for a dinner for two in a mystery restaurant in JLT. Keep an eye on our Facebook page, where we'll reveal announce the winner of the dinner voucher in a few days. In the meantime, we’re please to reveal that the “mystery restaurant” is none other than Streetery – Asian Food Hall by Zen Dubai, which will shortly be opening its doors in cluster D.
